It's the first day of spring! That means adventure time is here!
We had no plans for the day, but our buddy Taf asked if we wanted to adventure. We were planning on mountains, but because the weather was iffy, we all decided to head for Palouse Falls. A big waterfall in the middle of nowhere in Washington haha. Neither me or Grave had ever been there, so we were excited to see somewhere new! We still were not sure on weather, but wanted to try it anyway. We took separate cars for safety, so we knew we had lots of suit room. We decided to bring our MFL suits along with. I have really bad seasonal depression and I'm so happy to see spring is here! I was also very excited to suit today.
We woke up early in the morning, packed the car with suits and drove into town to meet at Taf's house. As we drove in we saw they were also driving out, so we decided to grab some coffee and breakfast at a quick stand before heading out. A lot of the drive in the beginning was boring farm land, but soon enough we made it to the cliffs!

We turned off the main roads, drove through a small town, and then we got onto winding roads. Soon enough we started to see signs for Palouse Falls State Park.
We turned off the road onto a gravel road that takes you to the park. We were on this road for what felt like forever, until we finally went over a little bridge and ended up at the park. Thankfully, the viewpoint wasn't too crowded as most people were on the trails. So we got parked and situated.
Since I had never been here before, I wanted to check it out before suiting up. I was nervous we had to go on a trail to see it, we brought not easy to hike with suits, but Taf informed me it was not a hike away haha. So we all made sure we had masks on and were safe before we walked down to the viewpoint. As we walked down the hill the sound of the waterfall got louder and then just over the fence, there it was!

It is definitely a beautiful site! I've seen photos of it, but had yet to go. But I'm really glad we came today. It was windy, but a sunny day and it made the experience even better. It's so crazy to know this big beautiful waterfall is hiding in the middle of nowhere.
We checked out the views, took photos and explored around a little before I got too excited to wait anymore, and we went up to the car to suit up. We brought light partials along, so we got ready then headed back to the hill. We agreed since it wasn't easy to wear face masks under the suits (We tried but they didn't like to properly stay) that if anyone asked for photos they had to stay back. Taf agreed to help us with that rule. But thankfully, we didn't have to worry about it. We had a couple people take photos from afar, posing for them and seeing them smile made me really happy. A feeling I haven't felt in over a year now.

After getting some videos we decided to walk around a bit. Taf's friend found another spot that could make for neat photos so we headed over there, but first we had to look epic on this pile of rocks.
After we finished climbing on rocks we went down to the spot near the fence and checked it out. It was another neat view point!
We chilled out in this spot for a couple minutes after photos and video before deciding to move on to the next spot. I'm really glad we finally came to Palouse Falls today! It's a spot I've been wanting to hit for quite some time. We made our way back up to the parking lot, waving at a few more people before getting to the car and desuiting. I was really happy, I had a lot of fun in suit at this spot. We got to make people smile again, from a safe distance of course, and the feeling I get from suiting for people is one I haven't felt for over a year so it made my heart happy.
Taf told us he had an idea for the next stop, so we agreed to follow, got back into our cars and headed out. We left at a good time, several people were starting to come in as we left. We drove for a bit until we turned around a corner and suddenly saw a crazy tall bridge! Taf pulled over at a wide spot in the road right under it. I was excited to get some fursuit pics here.

This bridge was a massive railroad bridge. We saw a hill we could climb on the other side of the road to get higher up, so we decided to climb. We didn't bring suits along, but don't worry, we could see the car the whole time. We climbed up about halfway before we heard a train was coming over. We also decided not to climb anymore because obviously train tracks are dangerous. So we watched the train go over from this spot, Grave even got them to honk haha.
After the train was long gone, we decided to head back down. Once we got back to our cars I said I wanted some quick fursuit photos before we moved on. I didn't put the whole suit on, but the pics are still super neat!
I also wanted some photos standing under the bridge, but it meant we had to be on the road. Thankfully, this isn't a busy road. And we had Taf watching out for us. We were able to situate me on the side of the road, and Grave took photos from the other side, and when he was in the road we were super careful. But the photos were badass!
Those photos also kinda give perspective to how massive this bridge was. I'm just under 5 feet tall, so I'm small, but even still look at how big it is!
After I got the pics I wanted, we went back to the cars. Taf knew of another spot we could hit so we got back into our cars and started driving. We went back the way we came quite a ways until we turned off in the super small town we drove past earlier. We followed this road for a bit until we suddenly turned into a canyon, it was so awesome!

This canyon was huge and crazy awesome! Honestly photos don't do it justice. Taf told us it was called Devil's Canyon. Rad! We took pics and looked around for a bit before Grave and I got in suit together. Thankfully this road is not busy at all so we were able to get these neat shots safely!
It was also quite windy in this canyon, our ears felt like sails hahaha! When the gusts would hit, we could lean into the wind, it was fun! Although when Taf took a photo of us leaning into the wind, Grave fell hahaha.
We forgot to get video here, dang! But the photos are cool and we had fun. After the photos we desuited and we talked about an Alpaca Farm we passed on the way down. So we drove to it, they had signs to feed the alpacas but they were closed, bummer! Taf had to go into the next big town to stop at the mall there, we said we would follow and if it wasn't busy we'd join them. So we drove there, and sadly it was Very busy, so we said our byes in the parking lot. We made one stop at a less busy store then headed on home. But what a fun day we'd had!
We've had a couple adventures so far this year but with Spring here, I'm so anxious to explore lots more! I want to go on so many fursuit adventures!
Thanks to Taf and his friend for joining us today, and leading us around. We had a lot of fun and I'm glad we got to see these cool places. It was a day me and Grave super needed, and I'm so glad I got to suit for some people today. It really has me itching to suit again.
Until next adventure!
