January sure feels like it lasts a lifetime, doesn't it? Haha. We both were a bit stir crazy, and wanted to get out. As well as suit. So we quickly decided to head up to Leavenworth to explore the mountains. We invited Taf along, and for everyone's safety he drove his own car and we caravaned. (Of course when we were together we all wore masks, and kept distance. We also kept face masks on under suits as much as we could)
We left early in the morning and headed to Leavenworth. We all wanted some goodies from town, and we decided to hit there first before too many people showed up. It luckily wasn't busy and we were able to safely grab the stuff we wanted.

After we left there we headed into the mountains outside of town. As we were passing The Alps, we noticed no one was there. So we stopped in there as well to grab fudge and other goodies. Of course getting some photos before leaving.
After leaving there, we decided to head to a small trail we have been to a couple times before. The snow in the mountains kept us from crazy mountain roads, not safe. So we stuck to what we knew would be ok, while trying our best to stay away from people of course.
We got to the small trail and the only car there was leaving, woo! So we parked, Grave and I suited up, I got my phone on the selfie stick and we walked in. The snow definitely made this little trail interesting! Hahaha. We didn't wear feetpaws to be safer, some of it was a bit icy. We found a nice spot towards the beginning to take some pics!

After walking around this spot, we walked down more of the trail and we took some fun photos near the river view. We couldn't get to the really good photo spot because of the snow but we still got some good ones!
After taking selfies, we asked Taf to get a couple photos for us that weren't selfies before we moved on. We had a lot of fun taking photos here. It's also so peaceful in this area.
We decided against continuing down the trail because the snow just got deeper and it would of been difficult in suit. So we headed out instead. We decided to try and check out Lake Wenatchee, as Taf's son wanted to go sledding there. So we drove out there, it was such a beautiful sunny day (Hard to see in the previous photos, but it was actually because the sun was behind the mountains! It was a clear skies day!) When we arrived, we noticed the park was Packed with people. Grave and I were not comfortable sticking around and sledding. But the view of the lake was fantastic so we parked real quick, walked out to an empty spot of the beach and checked it out for a couple minutes.
After checking out the scenery, I had Grave help me grab a couple quick fursuit photos. He didn't bring his so he could make sure no one got too close to us. And I only brought the head along so we could get the photos as fast as we could. I also kept my face mask on under my suit head. But luckily people did not bother us at all, and we got some great pics!
After we got my photos, Taf told us he was staying at the park to take his son sledding. We didn't want to pay for parking to stay, and there were too many people for us. So we decided to separate for a while instead. Grave and I got back into the car and decided to go back to the small trail and explore around if there wasn't anyone there. We arrived there and luckily, there wasn't anyone there. But we decided to leave suits behind and just explore instead. (We made sure the car was locked, and suits were covered! this trail is also small so we were not far away from them. We know it's best to not leave suits alone in cars!)
We spent some time here and had fun. We played in the snow and walked the whole trail. A lot of it not easily accessible because of the snow. But we hung out for a while before deciding to drive back into Leavenworth and wait for Taf to arrive. We found a place to park and chilled out. Once he came back we drove into the next town and stopped at a store. Then after that we went our separate ways. Grave and I grabbed some dinner and we headed home.
We had a really great day of mountain adventuring! Adventuring during the pandemic sure is interesting, and having to take all the precautions can be a lot. But we want to stay safe for ourselves, and those around us. It's important to try your best to keep your face covered even when you're in your fursuit! As well as still keep distance from other people! Stay safe out there!
