We had been expecting a little heat wave to hit this weekend, and we both knew we couldn't let a sunny day slip through our fingers. So last minute we decided to go explore around Snoqualmie Pass today!
We grabbed our suits and headed out. We decided to be a bit *lazy* today and only brought suit heads with us today. But we still got some great photos so it worked out! We left in the morning, got some food and made the drive. It was such a beautiful sunny morning on the pass!

We stopped on the summit for a little break, and it was odd to have feet upon feet of snow around, but be so warm. I was in shorts, and before I got out of the car I was scared I was gonna be cold but it was so warm up there! It was crazy! After grabbing some goodies from a little coffee shop on the summit, we headed for Snoqualmie Falls. We wanted to hit it as early as we could to avoid crowds. (We're now fully vaccinated, but were still doing everything we can to keep ourselves, and everyone around us safe!) The drive to the falls was great, the vibrant blue skies had us both wagging a lot.
We made it to the falls parking lot, and it was already pretty full there. We both agreed we'd check it out and if it was too busy we would leave. We found a parking spot, put on our face masks, grabbed our suits and headed over. We crossed the bridge over the road and into the park. It surprisingly wasn't nearly as busy as we expected with the full parking lot. Especially the actual viewpoint area, there were not too many people thankfully!

We were able to get a decent spot at the view point, and I knew I wanted to get fursuit pics right away in case it started to get crowded. So I got my fursuit head on and Grave helped me get a couple photos!
After my photos Grave got his fursuit head out and while he was prepping to put it on, a bunch of people ended up coming in ahhh, a large family was right next to us and crowded us a bit so I only got one good photo of Grave. Honestly a bit disappointed I didn't get more, but thankfully this was not our only stop. Sorry Grave =(
I told Grave I was getting a little uncomfortable about all the people that were showing up so we quickly got some selfies together before taking the suits off and moving spots.
We went to a couple different spots in the main view area, just trying to look around without being in the crowd. This is such a nice place, I love stopping here.
Soon enough we both felt the amount of people was growing and we were ready to go to another spot. So we walked back to the car, used hand sanitizer, drank lots of water (It was so warm!) then headed off. We decided to go to a park that we visited last year with our best friends, but when we went it was rainy and cloudy. Since it was sunny we thought we could check it out again!
We drove through the town of Snoqualmie and decided to stop. A couple of the local shops looked neat and thankfully they were not busy at all. We went into a cute candy shop and a couple other places before deciding to continue to the park. It was nice to walk around the town tho! After we finished there we continued to the park.
We made it there safely, parked the car, grabbed suits and walked in. Thankfully there was hardly anyone in the park. We walked up to the view point, and no one was there. So we checked it out a bit before taking any suit pics.

Honestly, photos don't do this spot much justice. You can see the mountains for miles and see so many peaks. It's hard to capture it in a photo. We looked at all the surrounding mountains for a bit before Grave put on his fursuit head first.
Majestic mans hahaha
Once he was finished taking photos, I put my fursuit head on as well, took a couple of the both of us before Grave helped me get some photos.

We filmed some videos before we both took our suits off and chilled out a bit. It was so warm up there today, it was like 80 degrees! So we let our suits air out a bit before we put them back into their bags. After we got them put away we sat at the viewpoint for a while just enjoying the view. After we felt we had sat too long in the sun we started walking around the rest of the park. Our suits didn't come out again here, but we found a nice empty grass field surrounded by trees.
I decided to lay in the grass and enjoy the mountain smells and sounds in peace. We were laying there for about 20 minutes, it was very peaceful. Soon enough I felt like if we stayed too long we'd get crispy in the sun haha. So we wandered into the forest for a bit.
After enjoying the cooler forest air, we made our way back to our car and headed out. I had another spot I wanted to check out so we drove there. Sadly the area was too crowded with people, and we were not wearing the right shoes haha, so we decided not to stop there. We did drive quite close to Mount Si, tho. And I requested for Grave to pull over so I could take a quick photo!
After waving at a couple passing cars and getting my selfies, we continued on. We made it into the town of North Bend and decided to get some food as we hadn't eaten since we left home. We got our food to go and found a nice park to eat it in. As much as we still wanted to explore, it was much hotter than forecasted, and we worried about our dogs at home so we decided to head off. The drive home was nice and clear, same as it had been all day! We made it home safely, and our dogs were totally fine but happy to see us haha.
I'm so glad we used this beautiful day to explore a bit! I look forward to all the exploring this spring and summer will have! Until next adventure!
