Grave by Costumes by Belle
Meet Grave the Wolf by Costumes by Belle and Mushi Magic
My very first fursuit, a gift from my love on my 21st birthday. Not long after creating Grave, he secretly went to the person who made his first suit and commissioned one for me. It arrived right on time for my birthday and I opened my very first fursuit! He started as only a head and a tail, but soon enough I got the paws as well as another gift from Kuhori. And soon enough I was a partial fursuiter! I wore this guy until he started to fall apart.
This suit was Grave's introduction, and he was very silly. He helped me be myself but without a filter. He was the foundation for the Grave you all know and love today! I wore him up until Kuhori surprised me with Grave V2.
This suit was my intro to suiting, and the fandom. I owe so much to him! We went on many adventures together, and sometimes I miss wearing him. I hope to get him refurbished someday!

About the Suit:
Mask: Very lightweight, but not made extremely well. Upon arrival the neck hole was too small for my head, so we had to cut into the mask before I could try it on. We did end up fixing this later. Vision was originally not very good when I got the suit, the mesh was hard to look through. We replaced it with larger mesh so it was easier to see. The vision window however was still quite small. Ventilation was great, the mouth was always open and lined up with my mouth so warm air always could escape. We had to do quite a bit of repairs during this suit's lifetime, but he was a very good introduction suit! HE was retired due to falling apart.
Handpaws: My first pair of handpaws! They were thin, didn't have much shape to them, but they were fun. The claws that were in them originally were very sharp and I kept scratching people, so we ended up replacing them with green claws later on. They were attached to the arm sleeves which fit me decently well. I had excellent dexterity in these paws because they did not have much shape to them. They however were comfortable and lasted me a very long time!
Tail: My first tail upon arrival was not great. The belt loops were a cheap fleece and were not even sewn in. We ended up having to resew a lot of the tail, but it still fell apart quite a few times. A second tail was gifted to me by Que's Costumes which was a lot better! It had a great shape to it and lasted me a very long time.
Feetpaws: First pair of feet paws were built on old converse shoes, which was a huge mistake. They didn't have much feet support so after long periods of wear I would have sore feet. However, these paws are still in use sometimes (in 2018!) when I need smaller feet. They were built very well. The claws originally were the same as the hands, and we replaced them. But these feet paws are still holding strong!
Overall Thoughts: I miss this suit sometimes, he was my intro to fursuiting and the fandom. He helped me bring out a side of myself I never had before. I had a lot of fun with this suit and he helped make Grave what he is today. I hope to get it refurbished someday!
